mLab AI 2026: Demo Day and 10 apps for non-profits
23 students from five universities built 10 solutions for NGOs in 15 weeks. Several people from our club took part in the mobitouch internship programme.
Not everything we do is a hackathon. Several people from our club took part in mLab AI, an internship programme that the Rzeszów company mobitouch runs for students. The results were shown on 14 October 2026 at the Demo Day in Fabryka Smaku, on the Rzeszów University of Technology campus.
How mLab works
It is an AI internship programme where interns build real apps for non-profit organisations, and the organisations get them for free. Students work in teams under mentors from mobitouch: from requirements, through code reviews and stand-ups, to deployment. The tracks were AI Developer (.NET, Fullstack, Flutter), AI Product Manager and Marketing & Content.
The third edition
The 2026 edition is the third round of the programme, the previous one ran in 2025. About 100 people applied and 23 students from five universities made it in. Over 15 weeks the teams put in more than 6,300 hours, some at the office, some remotely.
10 projects for 10 organisations
The teams delivered 10 solutions for non-profits, eight of which work in the Podkarpacie region. Among them:
- ResQ for Fundacja Q: a crisis-relief coordination platform,
- Grantoteka for Fundacja AS Kier: grant and KSeF invoice accounting,
- a grant competition system for the Opole Centre for Supporting NGO Initiatives,
- Wirtualne Biuro (Virtual Office) for the Bieszczady Folk University,
- an app supporting psychotherapy patients for Fundacja Mediculus,
- an AI assistant for parents for Bilingual Future Foundation.
There were also a festival site for Chen Taijiquan with workshop sign-ups and the "Senior w Sieci" app.
Our people on stage
The certificate photos show programme participants, including people from KNNTP. Internships like this teach what a lecture cannot: a real client, a deadline and responsibility for a product.
The previous edition had its own wrap-up too. Read the post about mLab AI 2025.
